Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Floods, Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Wildfires
If a natural disaster isn’t here yet, it’s coming. Whether a severe storm, earthquake, volcanic eruption, flood, tornado, hurricane or wildfire–somewhere on the planet, there is a NOAA weather radio station somewhere warning people right now.
At a minimum, the disruption to normal activities, potential loss of electric power and damage to homes and businesses is costly, often even life-threatening. Not only that, but disasters are terrifying. They can leave scars that never heal.
There are three main things you need in order to face any disaster that comes your way effectively:
You need to know how to shelter yourself form the initial force of whatever comes your way–be it an earthquake, hurricane, tornado,wildfire, severe storm or any other disaster.
You need food, water and ongoing shelter while electric power and other utilities are being restored.
You need to be able to communicate with loved ones and emergency response personnel.

This is a storm and disaster survival website. It’s main purpose is to help you get prepared, stay prepared and face any emergency in a way that gives you and your family the wisdom and equipment you need to survive and get through the crisis with the most comfort and composure possible for the situation.
